The COME®-2700 desktop stack paper cutter features an one-of-a-kind rail-based
design based on innovative ideas from our engineering team as well as valuable input from our customers. The COME®-2700 desktop stack paper cutter is equipped with a machined all steel chromium plated top side gauge with measurement scales in both standard inches (1/32” resolution) and metric (1 mm resolution). The back support arm is machined out of solid aluminum and can be easily raised to accommodate larger and longer documents.
For paper cutters equipped with metal cutting bases, a common problem is that there may be a gap between the bottom of the back support arm and the metal cutting base. This is due to the fact that metal may expand/shrink slightly due to temperature changes. Consequently, sheets on the bottom of the paper stack may slip through the gap. The back support arm of the COME®-2700 paper cutter is equipped with a special device that either extends or retracts according to the shape of the cutting base to ensure that it seamlessly “curves” with the cutting base.
The blade edge on the COME®-2700 is made of the best quality tool steel with the hardness grade between 60-62 on the Rockwell Equivalent C scale (i.e., 60-62 HRC). The blade edge is ground with our propriety technique that makes cutting through a thick stack of paper with ease. Our tests found that the COME®-2700 slices through paper stacks much easier and cleaner than similar products on the market. Further, the COME-2700 is equipped with a chromium plated all steel cutter bar adaptor. It increases the cutting force by about 17%. In other words, it requires less effort to cut through a thick stack of paper.
The COME®-2700 also comes with an all steel cutting base along with an extension table on the back. Both of them are protected with scratch resistant coating. The maximum cutting width of this model is 12” and the thickness capacity is 300 sheets of 20 LB bond paper. The approximate overall size is 19.5” x 19” x 7”.
